Washington Post features Sport Strings Tzitzit

Tamir Goodman and Sport Strings

This isn’t a new story, but it’s been woefully undercovered by the D.C. sports media.

Tamir Goodman — the Jewish Jordan, the former Baltimore-D.C. prep star and would-be Maryland basketball player and Maryland NightHawks attraction — has introduced a new athletic apparel item that can only be described as revolutionary.

Let’s turn to ColLive.com for more:

Nowadays, spending his time in business and activism circles, Tamir introduced a new innovation that will help Jewish and Torah-observant sports players remain faithful to their heritage and the game.
At OK Kosher Certification’s 13th annual international Mashgiach Conference held [in late November], Tamir introduced the “Sport Strings Tzitzit.”

He described it as revolutionary tzitzis garment that features hi-performance properties and a compression fit — offering the wearer ultimate comfort and style for sports and everyday wear….

Tamir made it clear that anyone would enjoy wearing them for their UV protection, moisture wicking and anti-odor features.

Well sure they would.

Goodman’s Web site indicates that this revolutionary garment will be available in the next two months or so, and that advance orders are being taken. The Sport Strings cost $40 for all-black, $45 with a Tamir Goodman logo, and $47 with a custom logo. Goodman’s Twitter feed also said that they will be available in 50-70 Judaica stores across the U.S.
